Analog Monitor is used in all the plants where continuous measurements and monitoring of the alarm states are needed. In addition to analog values, digital alarm states can also be monitored. Analog monitors accepts direct connection from measuring sensors with 0(4) -20mA current output, or 0-10V voltage output, or resistive sensors e.g. Pt-100 temperature sensors, without additional transducers, as well as moisture and temperature sensors STH-3. The Analog Monitor can be mounted in a panel.
The application of microprocessor technology ensures fulfillment of the most demanding requirements regarding accuracy, reliability and availability of Analog Monitors in process or power plants.
- microcontroller processing up to eight measuring channels
- the measuring channels can be analog and/or digital
- four alarm limits per measuring channel
- high measuring accuracy
- direct sensor connection without measuring transducer (for resistors, e.g. Pt-100)
- direct connection of moisture sensor and STH temperature sensor
- alphanumeric LCD (2×16 characters) for user-process communication (display of measured value, alarm, parameterization, etc.)
- automatic or manual selection of measuring points to be displayed
- easy setting of the parameters and alarm limits on the front panel with alphanumeric LCD and keypads
- alarm processing in accordance with DIN 19235 or ISA alarm sequences
- registration of the last twenty alarms with the time stamp (optional)
- in addition to the basic measurement and alarm functions, the device can monitor the mean values of multiple measured locations, the deviation from the mean value as well as the gradient (option)
- real-time clock (option)
- self-test function, local and remote signalling of the availability of the monitor
- panel mounting according to DIN43700 for mounting instruments or wall mounting
- easy connection using plug-in connectors
- possibility of RS485, optical or ETHERNET communication with a master system
