KON-50 Converter provides the energy meters communication connection with measurement and monitoring systems using various communication protocols. Modern energy meters most commonly use communication protocols IEC 62056-21 or IEC 61107, while power SCADA systems use IEC 60870-5-101, MODBUS RTU or IEC 60870-5-104 protocols. The KON-50 Converter, besides the protocol conversion, also has the option of transmitting information to two different measurement and monitoring systems, i.e. it can have two separate lines for communication.
Communication media on individual lines can be RS232, RS485, optics (P.F.O or G.F.O.), GSM / GPRS or ETHERNET (MODBUS-TCP). In addition to the above mentioned protocols, other protocol conversions can be implemented on request.
